The Heartbreakers
guitarist Mike Campbell gave an interview to Vulture and revealed the most
meaningful compliment he ever received: "It might be from
Jeff Lynne, who I greatly admire. We were both working on Tom solo
record "Full Moon Fever", and we left a part at
the end of "Runnin’ Down A Dream" for a long guitar solo.
Jeff and I were just getting to know each other. He’s not
really used to playing with other people, since he plays all of the
instruments himself. I got the guitar on and I did a
stream-of-consciousness solo and made some stuff up. We did three
takes. I remember when I was doing it, Jeff leaned over and put his
glasses down and stared at my guitar. He had this look on his face,
like, "How Do You Do That?". He didn’t say it, but his eyes
said it all. (Laughs). That was the highest
compliment he can pay somebody.".

Lane And Far Away"
leaked among some fans. It contains some samples of the songs featuring
on the album as well as previously unreleased tracks. One of them, "Sunshine Of Your Smile", was
remixed by the Argentinian artist Chaio Braschi. There are

remixes: one with Jeff Lynne only (Youtube) and the other in duet
with Mike Berry (Youtube). The author kindly sent
me the remixes in Flac format. The result is amazing!

rarities and alternate versions. It contains the previously unreleased
track "Beatles Forever" available for the first time in high quality.

lovingly remastered by us with our utmost care. Such a restoration has

It's a French pressing with the songs "Skeleton And The Roundabout" and
"On With The Show". The particulary is that it features an artwork.
This French edition is listed on Discogs. The ebay seller decribes
the
disc as new and sells it 59€ (about $69 or £53). Un single
rare des Idle Race datant de 1968 était en vente sur eBay.

"Conversations With Tom
Petty" is a book published in 2005. An expanded edition in audible version is available since
July. On this occasion, the author Paul Zollo gave an interview to the American Songwriter
website. He explains among others how Jeff Lynne has been accepted by
the band during the recording of the album "Into The Great Wide Open".
