ELO FAN MEETING 2017
A
Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra fan meeting took place in
Otrebusy near Bwirnow, Poland from 18 to 20
August.The schedule was full:
town tour, diner, dancing party,
covers concert, contests... There
were a lot of ELO items for the participants. As
always, it
was a real success. The
event was organized by the ELO fan Wieslaw Nastarowicz.

GEORGE HARRISON -
DOCUMENTARY
An
UK documentary about George Harrison is on early stage. Jeff Lynne will
appear (I have been contacted to provide footage...). It will
be broadcast on AMC TV and in Europe through Sky in spring
2018.

CALOGERO LOVES ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA
The very famous French
singer Calogero gave an interview to "L'Express".
He declared about his new album "Liberté Chérie":
"I
wrote this record during the attacks in 2015, following the shock, like
everyone, of real-life horrors. Faced with these tragedies, I wanted a
joyful album which makes dance. So, I listened to a lot Electric Light
Orchestra."

MEXICAN ELO PROMO ALBUM
A
very rare album was on sale on ebay. It's a promotional vinyl not
authorized for sale of "A New World Record" by Electric Light
Orchestra. This very limited edition was sent by Jet Records
exclusively to some Mexican radio stations. I never saw this sleeve until
now. It has maybe made by a radio station to file the record.

A bootleg from 1977 was posted on Youtube. "Freedom City Pandemonium" was
recorded on radio during the ELO's "Face The Music" tour
at the Winterland Arena in San Francisco, California (USA) on 14
February 1976. An official version "Live At Winterland '76" was
released in 1988.

Lynne and his girlfriend Camelia Kath attended an exhibition
celebrating the book about George Harrison "I Me Mine - The Extended Version"

ROSIE VELA - GOOD NEWS
The
fundraising to help Rosie Vela (ELO backing vocalist in 2001
and
Jeff Lynne's girlfriend for a
time) is now closed. She is having serious health problems and
heavy
financial
difficulties. The good news is that an anonymous donor paid the plane
tickets. Her close friend Denice Lewis (who launched the fundraising)
will go to the Barbados and go back to Los Angeles with Rosie Vela.
They will stay together while she receives some medical cares very soon.

2001 et compagne de Jeff
Lynne à cette époque) est maintenant
clôturé. Elle a actuellement de
sérieux problèmes de santé et
de lourdes difficultés financières. La bonne
