Antonio
Aceituno is a huge Spanish ELO fan. He made this amazing ELO
logo
in 3D inspired by the artwork of the "A New World Record" album. This
item weighs about 15 pounds, measures 16 inches in diameter and is in
plaster. Antonio started the logo in June 2015 and finished it in
November 2016 with a few breaks. He dedicated 2-3 hours per day working
on it. He had to create different mods and tools to work the
plaster.
It was a huge work and he can be very proud of himself!

énorme travail et il peut être très

JANE WILKINSON - 1958-2016
Jane Wilkinson passed
away on 20 December. She was a huge British fan of The
Orchestra and
very active among the fan community. She managed a website and a
newsletter about the band. She was also a photographer. She published
"An Evening Without Kelly" (available here). It's a photographic book of the
tribute show
for the former ELO bass
player Kelly Groucutt performed by his family and friends in 2009. Jane was the sister
of John Wilkinson, coach driver for ELO Part 2 from 1992 to 1995.

on sale on ebay.
It's a Japanese test pressing of "Calling America" by Electric Light
Orchestra. The single b-side is the same track. The artwork is
also rare because not used for the real single. For your
information, the test pressings are the first vinyl discs made at the
factory in small quantities to evaluate the quality before the
mass production.

OF SONGS IN MEMORY
"21
Today - A Collection Of Songs In Memory" is a limited edition double CD
(only 1000 copies). This charity compilation is dedicated in memory of
the 21 persons died in the Birmingham
pub bombings on 21 November 1974. The project
was initiated by Phil Hatton, former personnal assistant and longtime
friend of Jeff Lynne. The 21 songs were specially donated by Birmingham
and Midlands musicians including the 2 ELO former members Roy Wood (who
has also designed the artwork) and Dave Scott-Morgan. You can buy the
compilation on the 21
Today website.
All the money raised will go to the Acorn Children's Hospice.

Tom Petty will be honored
during the Musicares Person Of The Year galaat the Los Angeles
Convention Center on 10 February 2017.
He will be salute by Jeff Lynne, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Jackson
Brown, Foo Fighters, Randy Newman, founding Byrds Chris Hillman and the
Bangles. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will perform on stage
after
the festivities. The event raises money for Musicares, an organization
that provides financial, health services and resources for musicians in
times of need.
