DON EVERLY - 1937-2021
American
musician Don Everly died, aged 84, in Nashville (Tennessee) on 21
August. He was
the former member of the duet The Everly Brothers. His brother
Phil died in 2014. Jeff Lynne wrote them the song "The Story Of Me" for
their album "EB
84" in 1984. He also covered their song "So Sad" on his solo album
"Long Wave". Jeff Lynne always declared that the Everly Brothers were a
major influence on his music.

I
found some unseen photos of the wedding of Jeff Lynne.
He
was getting married to Miss Rosemary Adams (aged 19 and a trainee
teacher). The
ceremony took place at the Anglican church Holy Trinity in Malvern,
Worcestershire (UK) on 11 April 1972. The witness was the
football player and very closed friend Trevor Francis (present on 2
photos on the left). The
bride waved a rattlle with the word "blues" on
it to show their support to the Birmingham City team. Jeff
Lynne divorced in 1977.

Plant was a recording
engineer at De Lane Studios in London. He worked with Electric Light
Orchestra, Roy Wood and Louis Clark solo. He paid him
a
tribute in a comment on the ELO Beatles Forever blog:
"I
worked with Lou as recording engineer on a regular basis during the
'70s on early ELO stuff and also on his Perspektiv album. He was a
newcomer to the London studio scene and his complex arrangements were
not taken seriously by the session musicians of the time and he was
treated disgracefully by them for a while before the penny dropped. I agree that he should
have had more composer credits on certain ELO stuff. On more than one
occasion, Jeff used Lou's top string line as a main part of a song
melody, but Lou was only ever credited as an orchestral arranger.
Not fair.
Very sad early loss of a great and mega-talented guy."

A very rare footage was
posted on Youtube.
It's Electric Light Orchestra at the Academy Of Music in New York (USA)
on 23 June 1973. The live audio of "Do Ya" (from the bootleg "Wholly
Edison") was added to the video. ELO promoted their second album with
the "ELO
2" tour. Une archive

in Omaha,
Nebraska (USA) on 30 June 1978. Electric Light Orchestra
toured
with Trickster to promote the "Out Of The Blue" album. He took a lot of
photos and
scanned them all recently. The more interesting are the ones before the
show with the crowd and the spaceship. Bob kindly authorized me to
share them. The download folder also contains the concert review from
the
local newspaper.

on eBay.
It's funny that it's written "Montreal Or Bust" many years before
"Wembley Or Bust" in 2017. According to the seller, the t-shirt was
owned by the ELO roadie Brian Jones.

Once again, a new
original negative of an unseen photo of the Idle Race from 1967 was

sale on eBay. It is part of the same shooting as the photos I posted
the last months. There were no details in the description as
the previous ones. I reworked it
with Photoshop to make the picture more watchable.

An unseen photo was posted
on The Idle Race Fan Club Facebook group.
It's the Idle Race in concert in the club Le Metro in Birmingham. The
picture was taken by Janice Briney in June 1969. I reworked it with
Photoshop. Jeff Lynne and Dave Pritchard are on the front. You can
sight Greg Masters and Roger Ollie Spencer on the back (the drum kit
was later sold to Bev Bevan).

Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. The director and producer of the
George Harrison tribute, Joel Gallen, was unhappy with the original
video. So he decided to make a new montage available on Youtube. A comparison of

only products unofficial CDs. This bootleg released
in 2016 is listed on Discogs.
